About
I am a new media and gaming pedagogies researcher and instructor currently in my final year of study at Wayne State University after receiving her Masters of Science in Rhetoric and Technical Communication from Michigan Technological University in 2004. I am currently employed as a Writing Program Administrator and Writing Center Director at Baker College of Allen Park while completing my PhD. My research interests include gaming studies, gaming pedagogy, new media, the application of video to composition curriculums, anti-racism, techno-feminism, and virtual embodiment through robotics.
I enjoy singing in choirs, dancing (ballet, jazz, tap, modern, Hawaiian, etc.) and playing games in my spare time. I also have a cute little Pomeranian, and have been training her as a service animal to serve local area children's hospitals and nursing homes in my spare time.
